Manila Tamarind

Manila Tamarind (Pithecellobium dulce) is a fast-growing, drought-tolerant, spiny tree native to Mexico and Central America, producing curved, pinkish pods containing edible, white, tangy-sweet pulp. Often called Jungle Jalebi (India) or Camachile (Philippines), it is rich in Vitamin C, iron, and antioxidants. It thrives in tropical climates as a source of fruit, fodder, timber, and traditional medicine.
